Event Manager

George P Johnson is one of the top 20 international marketing agencies worldwide, serving top automotive and IT clients across the globe. We provide strategic event marketing thinking and event portfolio planning for our clients, as well as creative event concepts, architecture, trade show build, conference organisation, registration, production and event management. We are looking for an experienced Event Manager who will be dedicated to the IBM EMEA Account and will work alongside an RPM/Operations Manager on a Regional/Country basis providing event marketing consulting and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

- Event Manager is the internal team and client project lead

- Champion GPJ best practises

- Ensure both project message plan and campaign message guidelines are adhered to within all design elements

- Help drive efficiencies

- Budget management to ensure costs stay below agreed client estimates

- Ensure project documentation is accurate and shared internally / externally in a timely manner

- Drive agreed procurement process

- Help drive negotiated cost savings with suppliers

- Critical path creation and management

- Define scope of GPJ resource requirements

- Pre-event briefing lead

- Management of all internal services (2D / 3D, multimedia, technical production, registration) / external supplier (labour, AV, transportation, networking, graphics, ground services) pre-event and on-site to ensure successful delivery

- Post event evaluation process

- Final budget reconciliation

- Worked throughout EMEA at hotels and convention / exhibition centres

- 3 years Client Management experience minimum

- Understanding of forecasting and budgeting

- Experienced contract negotiator
