Senior Event Manager UK - Home Counties

Candidate profile:

We are looking for someone with a background in event planning and execution, end to end. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are hands-on and proactive; able to own, execute and deliver on your own area of expertise; can communicate effectively and always be seeking solutions.

Brief overview of role:

This Senior Event Manager will be working across a variety of existing and new accounts managing a broad range of large and small scale events.You will be involved in taking briefs; writing proposals; working on new business pitches; working with the internalteams such as Production, Creative, Program Strategy, Registration and IT; client relationship management; event management on-site; researching and booking venues; negotiations with suppliers; scheduling; managing budgets (up to £3m).

Essential experience and skills required for position:

- Broad event experience with demonstrated complete project control

- Experience of working on a new business pitches – including execution of full costings, proposals and presentations

- Negotiation skills – effective management of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness

- Logistics background – including scheduling

- Proven ability to motivate and mentor people across the business, including managing career progression of team

- Strong financial management – including production of costings and budget development and management

- Knowledge and experience of European venues

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes

- Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar time accounting/project costs system

Exhibition Coordinator – Worldwide top 20 event!

Your Profile

As an experienced exhibition coordinator you will have experience of working within the exhibition industry within busy operations/logistics teams, preferably within the telecoms industry, although this is not essential. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be used to dealing with customers at all levels face to face, with excellent organisational and problem solving skills using your intelligence, energy and flair for customer excellence! The ideal candidate for this role will be an exhibition coordinator who is immediately available and looking to work for a premier event!

The Role

Working on this world premier event you will be responsible for being the main point of contact for all clients - after sales service to all exhibitors, hospitality clients, sponsors, advertisers and all other clients associated with the events. Dealing with administration of all client bookings, running sales statistics and reports, coordination of catalogue listings for the show guide and proof reading prior to posting online. You will also be acting as support for the client services manager, providing admin support when required. Attending this international exhibition at show time is a large part of role so you must be able to travel for up to 2-3 weeks at a time internationally.
