Corporate Events Executive – London
Description: A not for profit organisation seeks a Corporate Events Executive to co-ordinate a full compliment of events. Responsible for organizing awards and dinners ranging from 200-600 delegates, a workshop programme and an annual conference with social programme attached, you will also co-ordinate approximately 3 ad hoc events per year. Responsibilities will include preparing the annual business plan and budget, compiling literature for the awards, supplier/speaker liaison and producing seating plans and menus. Candidates will be experienced in onsite management and working on award schemes. Knowledge of the public sector, particularly local government and/or professional institutes would be an advantage.

Event Manager

Event Manager
THE CLIENT Our client is one the world’s largest financial services group, with a huge international presence in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. It is engaged primarily in banking, investment banking and investment management.
THE EVENTS MANAGER POSITION An excellent opportunity to join one of the most exciting and innovating financial services companies in the world within their group centre events team including IRCB (London, Europe and Africa team). You and your skills will be utilised to manage the demand for events during a particularly heavy few months. The role focuses largely on a strategic approach to internal business messaging through conferences, seminars and road shows and also organising hospitality packages.
You will be managing events at some of the most prolific locations in and around London. Therefore, venue research, understanding and use of prolific venues within London is essential. You will be expected to take a brief and working alongside marketing business partners, develop a creative solution. You will be operating at a very fast pace managing a number of events simultaneously – leading or supporting where necessary.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Please note: your credit history WILL be checked as part of the interview process & candidates must satisfy the Financial Services Authority (FSA) Criteria - both initially and ongoing.
Other requirements:
* Extensive End-to-End Management experience (inception to completion)
* Have generated creative solutions to a given brief to produce an event
Concept
* Ability to manage 5-10 events simultaneously at various stages
* Broad events experience which must include delivery of all types of events -
both internal and external. For example, Seminars, Workshops, conferences, Exhibitions,
Dinners, Corporate Hospitality and Client Entertainment
* Business Messaging experience - Interactive Conferences and seminars
between internal Departments
* Managed relationships with all third party events suppliers
* Recent London and UK venue knowledge are fundamental. European
knowledge is preferred but not essential.
* Client management experience
* Advanced PC skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
