Event Manager - Media Manager - Conference Manager

Role: Event Manager
Location: London
Salary: £27k to £29k

An amazing, exciting opportunity for an Event Manager to join an organisation that runs approximately 190 Business to Business events including meet the buyer, business advice clinics, networking receptions, training courses, seminars, breakfasts, and dinners. The Events Team also run events and assist with the development and running of events for Press and Public Affairs, World Trade and the Information Centre.

Job:
- The job-holder will take specific responsibility for delivering a range of key business-to-business events that include breakfasts, seminars, meet the buyer events, member-to-member exhibitions, receptions and Business Development Clubs.
- Market research experience is essential.
- Originating the event concept, designing and implementing promotional activities;
- Monitoring financial performance; sourcing venues, speakers and suppliers and running the event on the day.
- Researching the business to business market is essential for this role, you must possess research experience, to find out what events and seminars the members want to see organised
- Deliver the events programme as agreed with the Head of Events on time and to budget.
- Generate ideas for new events and where appropriate develop and implement concept through to completion.
- Develop marketing plans and literature for events in liaison with the Marketing Manager, report on progress and devise and implement diversions where necessary .
- Liaise with the Marketing Manager over mail dates and the target audience for each event
- Identify, invite (where appropriate), and liaise with speakers
- Source venues, caterers and all third party suppliers and act as the principal contact
- Work with the Sponsorship & Promotions Manager to develop sponsorship proposals
- Deliver sponsorship agreements
- Lead staff team at events by planning and chairing pre and post event briefing sessions
- Provide updates for team meetings and act as the principal point of contact at events
- Assist team with the production of guest lists, badges, joining instructions and all other event administration
- Manage post-event online networking for event attendees
- Attend Special Interest Group meetings progressing event ideas and reporting on progress (where appropriate)
- Play an active part in all other events run by the team and assist with on site preparations
Person:
- Event Management experience -essential.
- Essential - Market Research is essential for this role, researching the business market speaking to members to ensure events reflect their requirements
- Experience of organising events, management events.

Event Venue Senior Account Manager

London conference and exhibition venue requires a Senior Account Manager to seek out new business opportunities in the corporate sector, build relationships as well manage existing accounts and relationships. You will be an ambassador for the venue liaising with clients, showing them round the venue and advising them on event opportunities. This role involves face to face meetings and attending events for networking opportunities.

You will have new business and account management experience in conferences and events or an event agency or event production company. Events Coordinator / Sales Administrator - Top Media Co!

This is a great opportunity for a Sales Administrator to provide support to the exhibitions team of a top media company.

This role would ideally suit someone with some strong office based administration (preferably sales admin) experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibition support to Exhibition Director and Sales Manager.
- Production and administration of exhibitors’ contracts/invoices.
- Accurate monitoring of the Exhibition floorplan.
- Production of pro-forma invoices for exhibitors where necessary - liasisng with accounts department.
- Maintain databases while ensuring that records are kept up to date.
- Maintain websites etc with relevant exhibitor information.
- Production of weekly/monthly sales reports and associated paperwork.
- Co-ordination/production/despatch and chasing of exhibitor organisational forms while ensuring that all paperwork is up to date and appropriately maintained.
- Liaison with the marketing team to co-ordinate the production and distribution of marketing mailshots.
- Liaison with the Director and the Sales Manager on Public and Press Relations matters.
- Assisting the Director and Sales Manager in the research, writing, preparation and despatch of press material in the absence of a dedicated PR company.
- Ensuring receipt of exhibitor’s editorial copy for Exhibition Catalogue by given deadlines, inputting and proofing all copy, and delivery of final document to studio by given deadline.
- Working on-site at exhibitions. This will involve weekend (normally Sunday) work and longer hours.
- Preparing, producing and despatching of Exhibitor Manual, liaison with contractors, liaison with exhibition venues and contact with exhibitors on organisational matters.
- Ad-hoc projects, for example assisting Director and Sales Managers in the research, design, layout production and execution of surveys, including on-site visitor survey and post show exhibitor survey.
- Working on other projects for the team e.g. organising the Exhibitor Workshop, and organising and co-ordinating the Showcase Theatre programme, and preparing for the Steering Committee meetings.
- Working on other projects for the company when available and, as situations require.

Personal Specification:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge of databases. The ability to share their knowledge of computer software with other members of the exhibition team.
- Flexible and organised with the ability to handle several tasks at once.
- Able to work under pressure while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Good team player with strong inter-personnel skills.
- Self motivated with the enthusiasm and commitment to succeed
- The Event Co-ordinator would enjoy working in a team environment and would thrive in an active/busy hands-on role, which requires working without supervision and using his/her own initiative.
